Physical Therapy In Hand (PTIH) is a web application from In Hand Health, LLC, that builds long-term relationships between physical therapists and their patients through enhanced communication and real time monitoring. It also enables physical therapists to build custom video-based home exercise programs and monetize their time between sessions through an optional integrated ecommerce system we supply your practice called Continuing Care.
PTIH is tightly integrated with the In Hand Health Patient App, which installs on any patient’s smartphone or tablet. (Note: Devices that are primarily intended to be e-readers such as Kindle Fire, Nook, etc., may not support the In Hand Health Patient App.)
PTIH also has a mobile version in the form of a native app called Therapist Essentials. This app does not do everything the desktop version of PTIH does. However, it provides access to key features of PTIH (dashboard, messaging, and patient compliance stats) and the additional ability to create your own video exercises. These exercises can be private (HIPAA compliant) for a patient or added to a video library for use by all PTs in a practice.
The connection between PTIH and the In Hand Health Patient App enables physical therapists to extend their expertise to their patients outside clinic walls and between office visits. Patients, meanwhile, feel secure knowing they can quickly get the help they need. Patients use the app for free unless you decided to monetize the app as a service of your practice by offering a monthly or annual Continuing Care subscription.

PTIH can be used on Mac or Windows systems with a modern web browser and broadband Internet connection. The application is optimized for a desktop monitor, laptop, or tablet and is not recommended for a smartphone. (The application will notify you if you access the application with a screen or window that is below our minimum dimensions of 728x728 pixels.)
