Therapist Essentials: Overview and Key Features

Think of Therapist Essentials as the mobile app version of Physical Therapy In Hand (PTIH).

It is available for iOS/Apple or Android smartphones.

This app does not do everything the full browser-based version of PTIH does. However, the app provides access to key features of PTIH (dashboard, messaging, patient compliance stats, and resources) and the additional ability to create your own video exercises. These exercises can be private (HIPAA compliant) for a particular patient or added to a video library for use by all PTs in a practice.

Here are some of the key features:

te-dashboard.png Therapist Essentials includes a Patient Dashboard that includes most of the same data as the one inside the full web-based version of Physical Therapy In Hand. Tap on any patient's capsule to access their messages history, send a new message to that patient, and view his or her compliance statistics.
te-messages.png Messages shows the latest unread (new) messages from your patients. Tap on a message to reply.
te-exercises.png Exercises presents the information from the My Saved section of your your exercise library inside the full web-based version of Physical Therapy In Hand. Tap on an exercise to prescribe it to a patient (send it to their In Hand Health Patient App) or to modify it. From this section, you can also create a new video exercise, private for a particular patient or for your practice's general use. Tap the Create New Exercise button to launch a wizard that uses the camera on your smartphone to record the video.
te-resources.png Resources shows the information from the My Saved section of your Resources library inside the full web-based version of Physical Therapy In Hand. Tap on a Resource to review its contents, edit it, and/or assign it to a patient (meaning deliver it to their In Hand Health Patient App). Tap on the Create Resource button to make a new Resource for a patient using the keyboard and camera on your smartphone or tablet.
